Airport Day & Preparedness Expo Draws Big Crowd, Features Paper Airplane Contest

ITHACA, NY – The Airport Day & Preparedness Expo was a soaring success this past weekend, drawing in community members for a day filled with fun activities and important resources. One of the highlights of the day was the Paper Airplane Contest, sponsored by Cayuga Media Group. Dave Ashton from Lite Rock 97.3 was on-site to keep the energy high. At 10:30am, about 50 eager participants lined up, ready to put their folding skills and throwing arms to the test. The winning throw by Greg George from Ithaca flew more than 75 feet! Greg took home a $500 ITH travel voucher from Cayuga Media Group and a luggage set provided by AAA, which he will be using soon to fly to a wedding in San Francisco.
